Learn how to make your own soft toy with local artist and maker, Rhi Johnson. This introductory workshop shares design, printing and sewing techniques to make your own take-home creation.
Using a selection of pre-cut stencils, participants will screen print their own fabric as the toy foundation. Different methods of embellishment such as embroidery techniques and appliqué, will be shared to create your own designs. Finally, you'll how to sew your toy together, turn it, stuff it and close the seam to create your finished piece.
Wednesday, 11th July | 9am -11am.
2 hour session: $45 pp.
This includes materials and a take home creation.
Bring Your Own:
1 x apron or clothes that can get messy. All fabrics, paints and tools are supplied, but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
