Pattern finding and making is a large part of how artist, Katie Whyte designs her paintings and murals. Whyte is always on the hunt for new textures to use in her work, experimenting with bold colours and shapes.
In this workshop you will create collages by drawing abstract patterns to then build layered compositions. No former experience or skills are required as you will be guided through a basic design process to create an artwork that is unique to your own style and taste.
Design play allows the participant the creative freedom to make mistakes, try new things and reconnect the brain, as it works as a mega catalogue of images and memories. This course will give you insight into the creative process of simply breaking down art making into a series of fun experiments.
